Task 3 asks participants to interact with the two boards and the conch. First, all of the participants read out the peter piper tongue twister in English by turns. Second, Jack says"1,2,3 run run run!", they touch the conch which is a symbol in the novel, Lord of the Flies. Whoever gets the conch can speak. Third, the participants read the right board in Chinese in competition. RP1 contains only English tongue twister. In RP2, the Chinese tongue twister is added after the participants read the Peter piper one.The original purpose of task 3 is to make the participants realize the connection between the conch and speaking right. They can also practice speaking an unfamiliar dialect in the revised activity.
